The amount of professional CS:GO teams keeps getting bigger. The interest in internet sport (E-sport) isn’t falling, which definitely doesn’t work to the advantage of the top teams, as they have more ‘’competition’’ which can take over their place in the top CS:GO teams leaderboard in the future. We have therefore prepared a comprehensive, yet subjective list of the best CS GO Teams based on their 2020 performance.

Astralis - A Danish professional, E-sport CS:GO organisation, created in January 2016 by the members of Team SoloMid, although mainly named Team Question Mark, as this was the name of the organisation they created shortly after leaving Team SoloMid. They received a few million Danish crowns from Sunstone Capital and a Danish entrepreneur Tommy Ahlers. The organisation is operated by RFRSH Entertainment and the players have an undisclosed minority interest in the initial capital of the team. When one of the founders, Rene ‘’cajunb’’ Borg moved to Team Dignitas on 19th May 2016, the team decided that he can keep a small part of his shares but he will not play a role in the everyday business activities. On the 19th October 2016, it was announced that Astralis have sold Finn ‘’karrigan’’ Anderson to FaZe Clan and on the 24th of October Lukas „gla1ve” Rossander joined Astralis for an undisclosed amount of money. After the Major in Boston, there was a change involving Markus „Kjaerbye” Kjærbye leaving the team and Emil „Magisk” Reif joining as a replacement. The organisation has earned a total of approximately 8 million dollars. 


An organisation which started its work in October 2018. The team consisted of: NBK, apEX, Happy, RpK, ZywOo. The coach of the first lineup was Faculty, who after only a month was replaced by XTQZZZ. The team developed dynamically and Zuper became their manager. 

The team has changed a lot since 2018. These changes included Happy, NBK and ALEX leaving the team. The present lineup for the team is: apEX, RpK, ZywOo, shox, misutaaa, and Nivera. 


Heroic was formed on the 26th August 2016, by the lineup of Team X. Right after the formation of the team, they won Power-LAN 2016 by winning with Team Dignitas in the finals. On the 24th October of the same year, gla1ve left the team and was replaced by Niko. This change resulted in a number of squad reforms which lead to Friis, valdeg and FeTiSh leaving the team. In 2018 and 2019, consistent lineup changed lead the team to play worse. The last change in the lineup was on the 6th November 2019, when mertz left the danish organisation. On the 15th March 2020, the lineup of the team was taken over by the Chinese FunPlus Phoenix.
